Bittersweet
When cyclamen coum starts blooming in the late summer, it's a bittersweet thing; it's nice to have new foliage, and fresh, dainty flowers popping up in a garden that is long in the tooth for this year, but it's also an unmistakable, inescapable sign of impending fall. I will say, after the heat wave we've been suffering through, fall will not be unwelcome this year... it's what follows that I don't like.

Mine has not come up yet this year. It was so lovely last year, I hope it hasn't disappeared! I love the mottled foliage.
Mine has been blooming non stop since I planted it in spring.....I think its confused? I noticed seeds on it this morning which look pretty neat, like tiny amber nuggets...I think I'll scatter them around.
We've got cyclamen coum flowers popping up everywhere... pink, fuchsia, white.

Every year I see these little fellows in the gardening catalogs. It's not too late to order them for next year... very sweet.
