The snow that yesterday in flakesStill dropped from heaven
Today now hangs congealed like bells
On the fragile stem.
The snowdrop rings: What does it portend
In the quiet grove?
O come quickly. In the grove it rings
The springtime is in.

Enjoyed your photo of the snowdrop. I have loved this bulb since I was first introduced to it in the Spring of 1983.
ReplyDeleteearlysnowdrop... well, I guess I'd know what your favorite flower is, pretty easily. What kind(s) do you grow? If you started growing them, too a long time ago, you must have some pretty good colonies by now. I just started growing them in this garden maybe 8 years ago, and have perhaps a hundred in the biggest clump.
