The "C's" Of Autumn

The two "C's" of autumn are cyclamens and colchicums; these two plants, that flower here in late September and early October, add a great deal to the enjoyment of our garden in fall. It's not as though I come running into the house one September day crying, "The colchicums are blooming! The colchicums are blooming!", but they are sort of like the nuts in my cookies... I don't think about them a lot, but I'd certainly miss them if they weren't there. These are the types of plants that add real richness to a garden, and only get better every year. Posted by Picasa
