Good Neighbors
This is a picture, taken from our backyard, of our nearest neighbor's house (hint: look above the first fencepost, almost to the top of the trees). We like the elbow room, and I suspect our neighbors are quite pleased to be a long arm's length from us. Although Liz is as sweet and thoughtful a gal as ever came down the road, and I think of myself as being like a hunky Mr. Rogers, over the years our happiest neigbors have unaccountably seemed to be those who live a fair distance away... see my story in the archives from February 11, 2005 about the squirrel and the dynamite salesman's girlfriend, which might shed some light on this issue. Did I mention that Liz just came back from Missouri with two big boxes of fireworks?
