I had posted before about Galanthus ikariae, a new species of snowdrop in the garden, planted last fall, and of questionable hardiness; so far it is a success... the flowers are rather small, but I very much like the bright, shiny green foliage, which is a nice contrast to the cool, bluish green foliage of Galanthus elwesii, which is spreading everywhere in the garden. (disclaimer: I've now found out that this is Galanthus woronowii; apparently it's commonly mis-labeled as ikariae in commerce... see blog entry 1/17/07).
