A Shaft Of Sunlight On A Snowy Day
As the wet snow streaks down through the dark, bare branches of the trees, our American goldfinch (sometimes called wild canary), looks like a bright shaft of sunlight flitting through the woods.
Bevson & Lisa, you know, there is one goldfinch in the flock that is the most blindingly yellow, beautiful bird I've ever seen, but he wouln't sit still for a picture. Don

ReplyDeleteI love these birds...it's been very encouraging to see them "yellow-up" in the last couple months, it's a sure sign of spring (despite the snow).
