Spring-Fall Romance

Posted by Picasa If I may make an analogy, the primroses in my garden are rather like Liz (and what good is a blog if the blogger can't make analogies so far-fetched that the innocent visitor, upon reading it, slaps his or her forehead so hard that it leaves a red mark). I first met Liz when she was a beautiful young radiology secretary; then she disappeared from my life (well, she moved to Ohio... work with me on this) and then she re-appeared, and though at a different stage in her life, was as beautiful as before. I am also smitten by the beauty of the primroses in the garden, when they bloom in the spring, then they pretty much disappear (literally or relatively) in the summer, then they re-appear clothed in their beautiful new foliage in the fall... quite miraculous, and as good a reason as any to be out in the woods, brushing back the fallen leaves, to see all the different kinds of fresh-as-a-penny little plants.
