Near Death Experience
There I was, last weekend, innocently doodling around on line, looking at plane tickets and condos, for an upcoming vacation to Hawaii, when the dreaded blue screen popped up on our computer, the hard disk shut down, and the computer went into a deep, irreversible coma. I tried every trick I knew of to revive it (consisting of manually shutting it down and rebooting, then rather randomly pushing on keys) and nothing worked, so I had to haul the tower into our local computer repair shop. I'm back up now (apparently the anti-virus screen became corrupted somehow, and shut everything down). However, a lot of things seem to be missing or at least different now; it's sort of like going on vacation, coming home, and trying to sit down on the sofa, only to find it seems to be gone. Now, I think I used to have a blog around here someplace...
