Foliage Follies

Posted by Picasa Normally, November is a month of darkness in Iowa; shortening days, and cloudy, gloomy skies. This month so far, however, has seen bright blue, sunny days, with warm breezes, and the garden has been cloaked in a rainbow of glowing fall foliage, with azaleas, enkianthus, magnolias, fothergilla, and especially Japanese maples, all trying to outdo each other.
