Podophyllum pleianthum, Chinese Mayapple. It has impressive, large, waxy leaves. It arises from the ground very early in the spring, so should be protected if temps drop below 32. I don't ordinarily have plants that need to be coddled in any way, but for these Chinese Mayapples, I make an exception.
